Jose Garces
Chef Jose Garces opened his first restaurant, Amada, in 2005, with the goal of exploring the rich tradition of Spanish tapas. He has since emerged as one of the nation’s leading chefs; owning and operating over a dozen restaurants, a thriving event/catering division and non-profit organization as well as a 40-acre organic farm in Bucks County, PA. He has been named the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chef Mid-Atlantic,” and won Food Network’s The Next Iron Chef. He has authored two stunning cookbooks, Latin Evolution and The Latin Road Home.
Jose is co-founder The Garces Foundation, which provides services to the immigrant community including community health days, English language skills classes that target the restaurant industry, and procuring and providing food supplies to the food insecure.
